I had a mixed experience at The Westgate Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made a huge difference during my stay. However, the room was quite noisy due to the tram and felt a bit dated. The location was convenient for exploring San Diego but had its downsides with the homeless population nearby. Overall, the service was commendable, making my stay somewhat enjoyable despite other issues.
